Fun Facts About Piper

I live in Stuart, Florida with my husband and our son.

We have two extremely silly pugs named Lulu and Zoe. When I'm writing, Zoe likes to sit on a cushion at my feet to keep my company.

When I was a girl, I was horse-crazy and dreamed of competing internationally in the equestrian three-day eventing. Now that I'm all grown up, I dream of competing on The Amazing Race.

My hobbies include reading, running, and playing tennis. My hobbies do not include bungee jumping, parachuting, flying in small aircrafts or riding on roller coasters.

If I were stranded on a desert island, I would bring a good book, my iPod and an unlimited supply of Iced Lattes, which I can't live without. Oh, and sunscreen. And water. And, since I hate camping, an air-conditioned cabana complete with indoor plumbing, a fully stocked kitchen and a comfortable bed.

I also write adult fiction under the name Whitney Gaskell. Whitney is actually my real name. Piper Banks is a pen name.

My favorite foods include steak, enchiladas, brownies and cheeseburgers. My favorite foods do not include liver, shrimp, cheesecake or oysters.

When I was growing up, I wanted to be a writer more than anything. Then, for some unknown reason, I decided to go to law school. My advice for aspiring writers is this: Write. And don't go to law school.
